Will there be a sequel to Shug? This is the number one question I get asked, and I am sorry to say that at the moment, I have no plans to write a sequel. I feel like we left Annemarie in a pretty good place, so I'm content to let her stay there. For now! You never know...Where do you get your ideas? All over the place. I feel inspired pretty much all the time-- when I am sitting on the subway, when I dream at night, when I look at my old diaries. Are you working on anything new? Why, yes I am! Thank you for asking. I am working on the third and final book in the Summer series, We'll Always Have Summer, which is due out in Summer 2011. I am also working on an illustrated chapter book called Clara Lee and the Apple Pie Dream, which comes out in January 2011. Why haven't you responded to my email/letter yet?! I am so sorry! I love to get mail, I really do-- I've just been super busy this year with all the book writing and etc, and I've gotten really behind on my correspondence.
